Purpose: This study is conducted to find the impact of consumer personality on their satisfaction and loyalty and eventually on their repeated purchases which will automatically enhance the profits of the organizations. In this study consumer personality is a parameter of consumer behavior. Constructs of consumer personality are social affiliation and consumer relationship proneness. No any previous study is conducted to find the relation between different parameters of consumer personality on their Purchasing behavior. Methodology/Sampling: Primary data was collected from public & private universities of the Hyderabad & Jamshoro districts. Questionnaire was administered in 200 randomly selected samples; sampling frame was students from different classes i.e. MBBS, BDS & Nursing. Already established scales were used for measuring consumer personality, satisfaction, commitment and repeated purchases. Data was analyzed through correlation. Findings: It showed that if the product is aligned with the consumer personality then that has increased not only their satisfaction level but also loyalty with the organization, which ultimately led them to purchase repeatedly. Practical Implications: This research is useful for the top management & sales managers of the organizations in aligning their products with the personality of consumers.

Purpose: The aim of this research is to find out the impact of existing brand on extension by using three different parent brands and their extensions of FMCG industry. This study will investigate that what are some factors of the parent brand which can play a role of driver for the brand extension. Methodology/Sampling: Primary data was collected from respondents at various locations of Karachi. Questionnaire was administered in 100 randomly selected samples; sampling frame was respondents & students from different locations of Karachi. Already established scales were used for measuring selected variables. Data was analyzed through correlation & regression. Findings: Results explains that awareness, loyalty, image and quality are positively significant in the case of lifebuoy brand whereas personality has the negative significant impact for the customer evaluation of brand extension. It showed that if the product is aligned with the consumer personality. Practical Implications: This research is useful for the marketing sales managers of the organizations in aligning their products with the personality of consumers.

Nowadays, environmental protection is an urgent problem which raises top concerns. Besides, green consumption is a trend encouraged to be widely implemented in many countries in the world, including Vietnam. However, in the reality of Vietnam, changing green consumer behavior in choosing products has been negligible and insignificant. With a diversified and varied population structure, Ho Chi Minh City is selected to analyze the impacts of demography and other related factors on green consumption behavior in the market. The quantitative research method is mainly used with the analysis of multiple correlation and linear regression. The results retrieved from 312 survey samples show that regarding demography, educational level, and marital status influence green consumption behavior. Besides, the results also show and measure the impacts of other factors, namely attitudes, subjective standards, environmental concerns, unavailability of green products on the green consumption behavior of consumers in Ho Chi Minh city. With the aim at promoting green consumer behavior in Ho Chi Minh City, there is a need for a change requiring the cooperation of all the Government, Enterprises, and consumers in stepping up propaganda, raising public awareness; simultaneously, orienting economic development activities associated with sustainable environmental protection.

PPurpose – the purpose of the current research was to investigate the influence of the experience of players and no-players on their purchasing behavior in a gamified purchasing setting. Research methodology – PLS-SEM has been employed to investigate the effect of gaming on consumer behavior and analyze the data gathered via the questionnaire distributed online. Findings – unlike studies in different domains, where the positive impact of game experience in a gamified learning environment and purchasing intention towards gamified products has been highlighted, the results of this research reveal the irrelevance of game experience in online purchasing behavior. Research limitations – firstly, no comparison has been made concerning the differences between board-games and online games. Secondly, the length of time spent playing has not been analyzed. Lastly, the research does not offer any insight regarding the country, nor compare online and offline buying behavior. Practical implications – eventually, game experience needlessly impacts the purchasing process in a gamified setting. Game design, personality, characteristics, cultural background and other attributes of the participants are an important caveat. Originality/Value – the research reveals stimulating results for scholars in the field of gamification, game elements, consumer behavior, and online purchasing

During the past couple of decades the rapid changes in socio economic structure of Punjab, Pakistan have been observed. The present study is an attempt to analyze the impact of socio economic mobility on the changes in consumption pattern of households in Central and Southern Punjab, Pakistan using primary data. In the first part, the study identifies the socio economic factors which are responsible for upward mobility while, the second part deals with the impact of upward mobility on the changes in consumption pattern of households. The results of logistic model reveal that income and occupation progression have emerged important factors which cause changes in consumption pattern of households from basic goods to cultural goods. However, the impact of education on the changes in consumption pattern has come up low as compared to occupation progression and income. The study concludes that the role of government is highly important in shaping the consumption behavior of mobile households through providing appropriate incentives regarding higher education and occupation progression.

The purpose of this article is to detect the impact of rumors on social media on the purchasing behavior of food products. The descriptive approach on four rumors related to food products were identified in the Egyptian market. A sample of 387 participants were selected from consumers who use Facebook in Egypt. The primary data was collected via an E-Questioner method. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between the rumors on social media, and purchasing behavior of food products. There is also a significant difference between the products and the impact of rumors. These results assure the importance of social media and its impact on a customer's decision to purchase food products. This article not only explains the importance of rumors on social media in the food sector but also enhances the understanding of the influence of social media on consumer's behavior. It also provides some insights for facing the rumors. Organizations are advised to adopt social media in their business.

This study empirically investigates the impact of personal innovativeness on Intention to Use (IU) Social Networking Sites (SNS).The theoretical perspective of Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) and Personal Innovativeness of Information Technology (PIIT) were used to explain the relationships developed in the study. This research is descriptive in nature and based on primary data collected through a self-administered questionnaire, administered to a sample of 216 undergraduates in Sri Lanka. Findings reconfirmed the relationships in original TAM, enabling to use TAM in SNS context. Further, we found PIIT is significant in predicting IU SNS. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings and directions for further research are discussed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, it provides the results of a study of key characteristics of proactive salespeople and the impact of salesperson proactive behavior on selling performance. Second, it provides recommendations for sales management to implement organizational strategies designed to develop, train and coach salespeople to be more proactive. Design/methodology/approach In all, 278 business-to-business salespeople were surveyed to identify key traits and outcomes of proactive salespeople. The average subject was 28 years of age with 5 years of selling experience. Scales from the management, organizational behavior and sales performance literature were used to identify the degree that subjects engaged in proactive behavior in their selling role, a self-assessment of their sales performance and individual traits thought to predict higher levels of proactive behavior. Findings The findings revealed that proactive salespeople exhibited high levels of selling behavior performance – an important contributor to measurable selling results. In addition, proactive salespeople were intrinsically motivated, confident in the tasks of selling and willing to take calculated risks. Practical implications Practical implications suggest that sales managers can play a key role in fostering proactive behavior among salespeople through development, training and coaching. First, sales managers can play a role in the development of salesperson intrinsic motivation by stressing the importance of asking good questions to understand their customer’s problems to the extent that they can be proactive and recommend solutions for change. Second, training programs to make salespeople more confident should center on fully understanding product/service functionality and applications to typical customer problems. Finally, coaching tools such as win–loss reviews, post-call analysis/feedback and role-playing are useful mechanisms to reinforce the right type of risk-taking selling behavior decisions. Originality/value The value of this research is to shed light on the importance of salesperson proactive behavior as a means to drive selling organizational performance and fostering long-term customer relationships. Understanding the drivers of proactivity among salespeople is the first step for sales management to be able to operationalize organizational strategies to develop, train and coach salespeople to be more proactive in their selling approach.

Business enterprises are traditionally known as engines for driving the economic performance of an entity, its success being measured in terms of high returns on equity and its contribution to the development of the society. The business enterprises get everything from the society for its survival and it is the obligation of the enterprise to return positive attitudes towards the society. If it fails to meet the expectations of the society, the society will punish the firm through their purchase behavior. Hence, the success of any business enterprise depends mainly on the ethical behavior of the enterprise towards the society. The Indian Government has made mandatory the CSR provisions and almost all the companies are actively engage in CSR activities. Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMGCs) are the fastest growing industry in India and numbers of FMCGs companies are doing different CSR practices. Hence, it is essential to study about the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility practices on consumer behavior with reference to FMCGs in Tamil Nadu. For this, 600 responses were collected from selected corporations in TamilNadu by a structured questionnaire. Convenience sampling technique has been adopted to collect the primary data. The study concluded that there has been a positive impact among the consumers as the consumers in Tamil Nadu considered CSR in their purchase evaluation criteria, and they give much importance to CSR related products etc.

Purpose – This study aims to extend and revise the basic technology acceptance model (TAM) by analyzing the impact of trust and subjective norm (SN) on consumers’ attitude and behavioral intention toward adopting self-service technologies (SSTs) in offline retail environments. Design/methodology/approach – Primary data were collected through field and online surveys, resulting in 651 usable responses. Hypotheses involving all variables of extended TAM, and their mutual relationships, are examined in this study of offline consumer adoption behavior. Findings – The findings reveal that trust significantly affects both consumers’ attitudes and their behavioral intentions, while SN also affects intention to adopt. It is recommended that future researchers use a more comprehensive version of TAM and consider trust and SN when analyzing offline consumer adoption behavior. Research limitations/implications – All the SSTs included in this paper belong to the retail industry, which limit the generalizability of the findings to other industries. Many other limitations are also discussed. Practical implications – The practicality of our findings guides managers and designers of technological interfaces. Furthermore, the practical implications are discussed and directions for future research are also provided. Social implications – This study recommends the usage of numerous SSTs in organized retail stores. The society will also benefit from the effective implementation of such SSTs. Originality/value – Trust and SNs have been incorporated as two additional variables to analyze offline adoption behavior of retail customers. This has not been done before, as most studies have focused on adoption behavior of customers in online environments.

Purpose: Primary purpose of this research was to understand the reasons for emergence of business management in higher education in Pakistan. This study was conducted to explore the core reasons and factors behind the students' attitude while selecting management studies as their study option. Methodology/sample: The research work is quantitative one based on field survey. Primary data were collected from 210 students from 10 different private, semi-private and public sector universities of Karachi, studying management science. Analysis of the data was undertaken through statistical software SPSS. Regression, ANOVA and Correlation tests were applied for analysis. Findings: The results have shown most of the students got admission in management sciences programs due to their personal interest, but the choice does not vary due to market trend. Other two variables, larger number of institutes offering management science and employment opportunities do have a significant impact on the students' choice to study management sciences Practical Implications: Findings of this research are likely to help the think tanks, higher education commission, government and other stakeholders pay attention to understand the impact of rising trend of business education in Pakistan and overall dynamics and mechanism of providing business education in Pakistan.
