Abstract Rough set theory is a mathematical approach to imperfect knowledge. The near set approach leads to partitions of ensembles of sample objects with measurable information content and an approach to feature selection. In this paper, we apply the previous results of Bagirmaz [Appl. Algebra Engrg. Comm. Comput., 30(4) (2019) 285-29] and [Davvaz et al., Near approximations in rings. AAECC (2020). https://doi.org/10.1007/s00200-020-00421-3] to module theory. We introduce the notion of near approximations in a module over a ring, which is an extended notion of a rough approximations in a module presented in [B. Davvaz and M. Mahdavipour, Roughness in modules, Information Sciences, 176 (2006) 3658-3674]. Then we define the lower and upper near submodules and investigate their properties.

This study induced a weak Hopf algebra from the path coalgebra of a weak Hopf quiver. Moreover, it gave a quiver representation of the said algebra which gives rise to the various structures of the so-called weak Hopf algebra through the quiver. Furthermore, it also showed the canonical representation for each weak Hopf quiver. It was further observed that a Cayley digraph of a Clifford monoid can be embedded in its corresponding weak Hopf quiver of a Clifford monoid. This lead to the development of the foundation structures of weak Hopf algebra. Such quiver representation is useful for the classification of its path coalgebra. Additionally, some structures of module theory of algebra were also given. Such algebras can also be applied for obtaining the solutions of “quantum Yang–Baxter equation” that has many applications in the dynamical systems for finding interesting results.

Abstract An almost prime submodule is a generalization of prime submodule introduced in 2011 by Khashan. This algebraic structure was brought from an algebraic structure in ring theory, prime ideal, and almost prime ideal. This paper aims to construct similar properties of prime ideal and almost prime ideal from ring theory to module theory. The problem that we want to eliminate is the multiplication operation, which is missing in module theory. We use the definition of module annihilator to bridge the gap. This article gives some properties of the prime submodule and almost prime submodule of CMS module over a principal ideal domain. A CSM module is a module that every cyclic submodule. One of the results is that the idempotent submodule is an almost prime submodule.

We establish some cohomological bounds in $D$ -module theory that are known in the holonomic case and folklore in general. The method rests on a generalization of the $b$ -function lemma for non-holonomic $D$ -modules.

Lifting modules plays important roles in module theory. H-supplemented modules are a nice generalization of lifting modules which have been studied extensively recently. In this article, we introduce a proper generalization of H-supplemented modules via images of fully invariant submodules. Let F be a fully invariant submodule of a right Rmodule M. We say that M is IF -H-supplemented in case for every endomorphism φ of M, there is a direct summand D of M such that φ(F) + X = M if and only if D + X = M, for every submodule X of M. It is proved that M is IF -H-supplemented if and only if F is a dual Rickart direct summand of M for a fully invariant noncosingular submodule F of M. It is shown that the direct sum of IF –H supplemented modules is not in general IF -H-supplemented. Some sufficient conditions such that the direct sum of IF -H-supplemented modules is IF -H-supplemented are given
