Introduction. The article discusses the application of Bayesian recognition procedures with one independent feature in relation to the erythrocyte sedimentation rate data taken from patients with gliomas, metastases, meningiomas, traumatic brain injury and from a group of healthy people. Purpose of the article. Analysis of erythrocyte sedimentation rate indicators using optimal recognition procedures. Results. In earlier articles by the authors, a similar work was described, however, due to the fact that the erythrocyte sedimentation rate was measured in different concentrations of pharmaceuticals and due to the receipt of new data structures, it was possible to increase the efficiency of the recognition procedures by 3-4%. The maximum recognition efficiency of almost 90% was achieved in the differential diagnosis of gliomas in relation to traumatic brain injury and the use of a substance supplemented with chlorpromazine. When recognizing inflammatory processes in patients with metatsases in relation to a group of healthy people, the efficiency of the recognition procedure was 88% using NaATF with a dilution of 1:10. We also note a 4% increase in the recognition efficiency of conditionally benign grade II gliomas, i.e. the efficiency of recognition of the development of gliomas in the early stages increased. Also in this work, it was possible to identify inflammatory processes in benign extracerebral tumors - meningiomas. The effectiveness of this recognition in relation to a group of healthy people was 83%. Conclusions. New results of recognition of inflammatory processes in brain gliomas have been obtained, on the basis of which an auxiliary diagnostic tool has been improved in gliomas, metastases and meningiomas. This diagnostic method becomes especially valuable in cases where modern imaging diagnostic methods are not able to determine the presence of a tumor in a patient, as well as in the postoperative period with indulgent tumor growth. Keywords: Bayesian recognition procedure, gliomas, metastases, meningiomas, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, complex parameter.

The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image of moving targets will defocus due to the unknown motion parameters. For fast-maneuvering targets, the range cell migration (RCM), Doppler frequency migration and Doppler ambiguity are complex problems. As a result, focusing of fast-maneuvering targets is difficult. In this work, an efficient SAR refocusing algorithm is proposed for fast-maneuvering targets. The proposed algorithm mainly contains three steps. Firstly, the RCM is corrected using sequence reversing, matrix complex multiplication and an improved second-order RCM correction function. Secondly, a 1D scaled Fourier transform is introduced to estimate the remaining chirp rate. Thirdly, a matched filter based on the estimated chirp rate is proposed to focus the maneuvering target in the range–azimuth time domain. The proposed method is computationally efficient because it can be implemented by the fast Fourier transform (FFT), inverse FFT and non-uniform FFT. A new deramp function is proposed to further address the serious problem of Doppler ambiguity. A spurious peak recognition procedure is proposed on the basis of the cross-term analysis. Simulated and real data processing results demonstrate the validity of the proposed target focusing algorithm and spurious peak recognition procedure.

EMPLOYER AS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR OCCUPATIONAL DISEASEThe Labour Code in art. 227 distinguishes two categories of diseases, that may occur in relation to work — occupational diseases and other diseases caused by working environment. In those both cases employer is required to do conduct appropriate preventive measures. However, only in occupational diseases case the list, recognition procedure and social security benefi ts that derived from those, was defi ned. In case of other, not directly defi ned diseases caused by working environment, only civil law procedure is available for aggrieved employee. Therefore, it was proposed, that legislator should clearly defi ne the procedure for certifi cation of such disease caused by working environment, as well as the scope of benefi ts that aggrieved employee is entitled to.

Edge detection is the preliminary step in image processing for object detection and recognition procedure. It allows to remove useless information and reduce amount of data before further analysis. The paper contains the comparison of edge detection algorithms optimized for detection of horizontal edges. For comparison purposes the algorithms were implemented in the developed application dedicated to detection of electric line wires. The optimized algorithms were benchmarked on a set of images of electric wires.
