Abstract Online radical Islam is a topic widely studied by scholars and notoriously discussed among non- experts as well (Awan, 2007; Von Behr et al. 2013; Gray & Head 2009). Because of its intrinsic characteristics (i.e. accessibility, anonymity, or users’ identity dissimulation), the internet has always been a useful tool for propagandists of Islamic fundamentalism (Fighel, 2007; Stenersen, 2008; Koehler, 2014). However, in the last decade, studies have questioned the real importance and magnitude of Islamic radicalization online (Gill et al., 2017). In fact, while scholars were focused on observing digital Islamic radicalization, a galaxy of new forms of extremism was growing online (Silva et al., 2017; Roversi, 2008) that no longer made Islam an exceptional case study. Today, Muslim people are one of the groups most aggressively targeted by extremist, intolerant, violent, and radical discourses (Elahi & Khan, 2017; Amnesty International, 2019). Anti-Muslim hate speech has spread online throughout Europe and the United States, reinforced by the propaganda and political discourse of populist right-wing parties (Hafez, 2014; Bakali 2016). This paper introduces some large-scale action-research projects developed in Europe and Italy in the last three years (2016–2019) and aims to reconstruct the most updated Islamophobia state of the art in terms of numbers, characteristics, and phenomenology from the offline to the online context.

Worship activities need a high level of speech intelligibility and to satisfy prayers in the spiritual aspects which make people feel closed to the God. In the context of study, six historical mosques in Turkey, with different types of cover structures and plan typologies, are designated as study areas. The present study contains two methods which the first one is collecting acoustical data by measurements and the second consists of mathematical modelling software program. The purpose of study to investigate effects of different plan typology and ceiling structures on acoustical characteristics in mosques with similar volume. Also, distribution of acoustical parameters and the suitability of the values obtained through acoustic simulations and measurements to the recommended values are aimed to be investigated. As a result of the investigations, it was concluded that the objective acoustic parameters of mosques changed according to the geometric parameter properties.

The stagnation of da'wah among young people is mostly caused by the use of symbols that are not in line with or even contrary to the aspirations of young people. The da'wah offered by the Hijrah Youth Shift Movement is a da'wah that uses symbols of young people as a medium for their da'wah. This article tries to explain how the Hijrah Youth Shift Movement represents the value of young people who are slang and pious. Through Rolland Barthes' semiotic approach, the author tries to examine these symbols which are presented in the da'wah content uploaded to the Instagram @message_trend account. In denotation, posts from the Instagram @message_trend account display activities such as cleaning, archery, camping, tahajud prayer in green open spaces. In connotation, the Instagram account @pesan_trend tries to show a model of young Muslim people who love the environment, are physically and spiritually healthy. Mythically or ideologically, @pesan_trend, which was initiated by UHA and Shift Pemuda Hijrah, is showing the social class of middle-class Muslim youth, which so far has been identified with indie culture, which is active in green spaces. On the other hand, this also shows the ideology of Shift which is leaning towards the tarbiyah movement.
