In order to explore the spillover effect of urbanization on rural land transfer, this paper uses the panel data of various regions and cities in Xinjiang from 2008 to 2018. Moran's I method is used to test and analyze the spatial correlation between urbanization and farmland transfer. Intelligent computing SDM is used to analyze the spillover effect of urbanization on farmland transfer. The results show that there is spatial correlation between farmland transfers in Xinjiang. There is spatial heterogeneity in the spatial agglomeration of urbanization and farmland transfer in northern and southern Xinjiang. The content of this paper can provide some reference and ideas for follow-up research.

The question I analyze in this case study is how might one use civic engagement to foster campus/community relationships in this polarized era? I describe a teaching challenge in intercultural communication. Students have consistently reported that they arrive to this university from rural, majority-White communities where they have not experienced opportunities to communicate with culturally diverse groups. To address this challenge, I developed a semester-long assignment that provides a structured partnership between students in my Intercultural Communication course and campus co-cultural student groups. To assess this assignment’s benefit to the pedagogy surrounding polarization across cultural differences, I qualitatively analyzed themes in students’ reflection papers (N = 128 papers) from the last five sections of the course (2016–2020). Students addressed how these partnerships helped them develop (1) intercultural competence, (2) acceptance or appreciation through allyship, and (3) curiosity about other cultures. I conclude with implications, including how colleagues might use this assignment in other rural, land-grant public university settings.

As the populace increments and characteristic assets decline, the capacity to serve humankind with an adequate measure of nourishment turns out to be progressively troublesome. The measure of rural land diminishes relatively to the expanding populace, along these lines the measure of nourishment delivered will diminish fundamentally, and will be lacking to serve the developing populace. The universal strategies for cultivating won't do the trick sooner. Thus, using modern technology and resources, a method of efficient farming must be introduced and employed in the agricultural field. This report introduces a method of efficient farming using hydroponics. The system is automated and uses sensor data to make decisions to benefit the crops being grown. The system runs on Raspberry PI and Arduino, and utilizes OpenCV. With our system we hope to solve the potential food crisis and give everyone access to fresh produce all year round.

Tracking rural areas and studying them may not be an easy task. The concept of whether the area at hand is urban or rural could be simple, but lately rural areas could carry many features that may deviate the definition into one which is unclear. In urbanized rural development, reversing the urbanization spotted may not be the ideal way to go, urban developers often suggest that to go back to the roots is to regenerate the area back into rural, however, regenerating rural areas using rural parameters and definitions may not be what the urban area in hand needs and the changes and challenges that are facing rural communities in Egypt need to be understood before any plan can be deemed as effective or even worthwhile The rapid increase in urbanization and how it affects agriculture land, shorelines, and rural land, has affected badly the rural capacity, and led to a constant threat of overhaul in place of towns, cities, and other urban activities. However, rural areas are the lungs of the planet alongside forests and other green areas and having them diminish substantially will lead to an inevitable catastrophe. Regenerating rural areas should focus on revitalizing and embedding them into the social, cultural, and economic structure of the region, however, it may not always involve turning them back to what is commonly termed as rural. This research attempts to review and discuss the meaning and definitions of rural regeneration with a view to propose a strategic plan to regenerate borderline areas in Egypt.
