The aim of the work is a comparative analysis of three frameworks designed for building web applications for the Java programming language: Spring Boot 2.4.4, Micronaut 2.5.4 and Quarkus 1.13.4.Final. Test applications were prepared, equipped with the same functionality as used in the experiment consisting in measuring the server response times to a POST request – performing the data entry into the database. For each test application, the scenario aimed at measuring the time of handling requests under various load conditions was repeated five times. During each repetition of the scenario, the load which was the average number of requests sent per second by virtual users was increased. In parallel with performance tests, the reliability of the test applications was measured. Reliability was defined as the percentage of requests sent to the server that ended in a failure. The comparative analysis also took into consideration the volume of the code of the test applications based on the selected frameworks. The performed analyses showed that in terms of all the criteria considered in this work Micronaut proved to be the best framework.

The technological applications offered for education are varied, providing new learning possibilities. Gamification proposals for the classroom must be constantly monitored, since their development and use does not ensure success in teaching. We study the impact of gamification in the teaching of mathematics, analyzing its role in the treatment of geometric cone and cylinder figures with 13 and 14 years old students. From a descriptive quantitative approach of quasi-experimental type, with a control and pilot group and test application, a classical and implicative statistical analysis is carried out, showing a higher percentage of correct answers from the pilot group, in the item on the relationship between the volume of the cone and the cylinder, with 96.3%, in contrast to 73.08% obtained by the control group. In addition, a behavior with a high level of similarity (84.4%) is shown between the use of virtual games and satisfactorily answering the items. This suggests that this educational medium can cause improvements in the learning of students who seem to be prone to its use.

Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) are a current subject of research in the field of structural health monitoring (SHM) for the detection of guided ultrasonic waves (GUW). The dispersive behaviour of GUW, reflections and other kinds of wave interactions might result in a complex wave field that requires a specific analysis and interpretation of the recorded signals. This makes it difficult or impossible to interpret the sensor signal regarding the distinguishability between the sensor transfer behaviour and the specific behaviour of the test structure. Therefore, a proper application-suited design of the tested structure is crucial for reliable sensor characterisation. The aim of this contribution is the design and evaluation of a setup that allows a representative situation for a GUW application and provides a defined vibration energy for a MEMS sensor characterisation. Parameters such as the specimen’s geometry, material properties and the sensor specifications are taken into account as well as the experimental settings of the GUW excitation. Furthermore, the requirements for the test application case are discussed.

This article compares the compilation speed of the SCSS and LESS preprocessor codes. Each preprocessor has its own syntax, which is transpiled into the CSS stylesheet language in the further development of the web page. These technologies serve the same purpose - to simplify and speed up the writing of page views, but are based on different programming languages - Ruby (SCSS) and JavaScript (LESS). For the purposes of the research, a test application was created, a series of tests was carried out on various sets of codes, the results were collected, which allowed to identify a preprocessor with    a faster compilation speed, which turned out to be the LESS preprocessor.

Introduction. A brief overview of the properties and architecture of one of the components of the National Cloud of Open Science prototype – the cloud platform OpenStack is given. The list of software and hardware components of the OpenStack test cloud environment and the sequence of actions required for the deployment of both OpenStack itself and the Slurm virtual cluster environment for portable, scalable, reproducible scientific biomedical computing are presented. The purpose of the paper is a description of the experience of test deployment of OpenStack to create a scalable computing environment for reproducible scientific computing using modern technological solutions, which can be applied to both cloud (OpenStack, AWS, Google) and cluster platforms (Slurm). Results. The structure of the created test containerized (using Singularity technology) biomedical application, which contains modern software and libraries and can be used in conventional and cloud virtual cluster environments is briefly described. The results of a comparative test of this application in the virtual cluster environment Slurm under the control of OpenStack and in the node of cluster SKIT-4.5 in the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the NAS of Ukraine are given. Information on solving the problem of finding the optimal in terms of saving resources scaling parameters for the developed application in two comparable cluster environments is given. Some features of the use of these cluster environments are clarified, in particular, a comparison of the dependence of the application speed on the number of parallel processes for two cluster environments is presented. Empirical data are presented in graphical form, which illustrate the nature of the load on the OpenStack server and the use of RAM on the number of parallel processes. Possibilities of portability between the specified cluster environments, scaling of calculations and maintenance of reproducibility of calculations for the offered test application are demonstrated. The advantages of using OpenStack technology for scientific biomedical calculations are pointed out. Conclusions. The described example of test deployment and use of OpenStack gives an idea of the requirements for the necessary technical base to ensure the reproducibility of scientific biomedical calculations in cloud and cluster environments. Keywords: cloud technologies, reproducible calculations, cluster platform.

Mercu Buana University is a private university which consists of seven faculties. At the Faculty of Design and Creative Arts, Faculty of Communication Sciences and Faculty of Engineering, additional requirements are required for new student candidates, i.e. a color blindness free certificate. Color blindness is a vision disorder caused by the inability of the eye cone cells to perceive a certain spectrum of colors. There are many ways to test someone's color blindness, one of which is by using the Ishihara method. To obtain a color blindness free certificate, prospective students must visit a clinic or hospital, carry out the applicable color blind test procedure, then bring the results to campus. Based on these problems, the research was conducted with the aim of making a color blind test application that can issue a recommendation letter based on the test results of prospective new students. The system development method uses  System Development Life Cycle. The results of the study were an android-based color blind test application that was able to detect color blindness using the Ishihara method and issued a recommendation letter based on the test results of prospective new students in the on-time application.

An effective systemic approach to task will lead to efficient communication and resource sharing within a network. This has become imperative as it aids alternative delivery. With communication properly etched into the fabrics of today’s society via effective integration of informatics and communication technology, the constant upgrades to existing network infrastructure are only a start to meeting with the ever-increasing challenges. There are various criteria responsible for network performance, scalability, and resilience. To ensure best practices, we analyze the network and select parameters required to improve performance irrespective of bottlenecks, potentials, and expansion capabilities of the network infrastructure. Study compute feats via Bayesian network design alongside upgrades implementation to result in a prototype design, capable of addressing users need(s). Thus, to ensure functionality, the experimental network uses known simulation kits such as riverbed modeler edition 17.5 and cisco packet tracer 6.0.1-to conduct standardized tests such as throughput test, application response-time test, and availability test.

Implementing the KIR e-test program at the UPTD of the Garut Regency Transportation Service has been carried out since October 1, 2019. The KIR e-test program is a service innovation by changing the manual KIR test system using an IT-based system so that the KIR e-test application can simplify and shorten the service time for people who will do the KIR test. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the implementation of the KIR e-test program had been implemented but encountered several obstacles, including information on changes in testing procedures from manual to electronic has not been informed to the public, so there are still people who think that the testing procedures carried out take a long time, so that vehicle owners prefer to use the services of brokers in testing the UPTD PKB Dishub Garut still lacks testers, especially testers who are certified and do not have a backup of e-KIR infrastructure. Implementing the KIR e-test is still prone to illegal levies because there are still brokers who call themselves service bureaus in collaboration with unscrupulous officers.
