The study deals with four-stranded DNA structures (G-Quadruplexes), known to undergo ionization upon direct absorption of low-energy UV photons. Combining quantum chemistry calculations and time-resolved absorption spectroscopy with 266 nm excitation, it focuses on the electron holes generated in tetramolecular systems with adenine groups at the ends. Our computations show that the electron hole is placed in a single guanine site, whose location depends on the position of the adenines at the 3′ or 5′ ends. This position also affects significantly the electronic absorption spectrum of (G+)● radical cations. Their decay is highly anisotropic, composed of a fast process (<2 µs), followed by a slower one occurring in ~20 µs. On the one hand, they undergo deprotonation to (G-H2)● radicals and, on the other, they give rise to a reaction product absorbing in the 300–500 nm spectral domain.

"Imagination and Knowledge about the Neighbouring Peoples in the German Literature in Romania after the First World War. The starting point of this paper consists in adapting the ideas formulated by the cultural turn, according to which culture is a product of a dynamic process. After the First World War, a new cultural field was formed through a very fast process in the micro-society of German-speaking people in Transylvania and Banat. This cultural field was mostly influenced by the newspapers and cultural periodicals (Klingsor, Siebenbürgisch-Deutsches Tageblatt, Temeswarer Zeitung), by ecclesiastical discourse and by the speeches given by the Saxon and Swabian politicians. The literature of this period illustrates a very intense life; several texts deal with either the problems of time or describe a glorious past. The most famous authors (Adam Müller Guttenbrunn, Karl von Möller, Adolf Meschendörfer, Heinrich Zillich) are in the spotlight of public life. This article’s case studies are taken from the literature of Transylvania. In general, it can be said that the representation of Romanians is positive, that of Hungarians is to some degree negative, while Jews are rarely represented. Keywords: imagology, Romanians, Hungarians, Jews "

Pawn services, particularly Islamic pawn services in gold (rahn) is one of Islamic banks product that distributes short term financing to consumers without repayment (qardh) in order to mutual assistance principle (tabarru’). Gold pawning services could be an alternative for consumers to get easy money and have a fast process in sharia way. Yet this gold pawning services turn to be speculative investment in practice that contrast with sharia principle and the same time it raises quention on how strong the commitment of all stakeholders to pursue the sharia principle. This study aims to analyze the concept and various problems indication in gold pawning services implementation. Descriptive analytic method is applied to analyze secondary data related to its problems. The result of the study indicate that to ensure the practice of pawning gold does not become speculative motive, it’s necessary to have a clear and binding regulations on how the pawning practice should be carried out. These regulations must also be followed by strict sanctions. In addition, ensuring the gold pawn financing is channeled to the real sector will help prevent the emergence of speculators. On the other hand, the public as customer should be aware of risks on combining product of gold pawn financing and gold investment because big profits in any investment are always followed by high risks.  Finally, Participated and strong commitment of all stakeholders are the comprehensive answer in order to pursue maqasid sharia.

Abstract We report on implementation of a stationary shoulder in dissimilar joints of Al-steel and Al-carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) using friction stir assisted scribe technology (FaST). Viable joint strength similar to the conventional FaST process was demonstrated in Al-Steel. A significant improvement in as-welded surface roughness for both Al-steel and Al-CFRP cases was also achieved. Interrupted lap shear tests performed on Al-steel joints and a corresponding computational model indicate the joint failure typically occurs in Al sheet via a crack that originates at the steel hook tip on the loading side. A similar fracture path was observed in an Al-CFRP joint.

The article presents the results of theoretical and practical scientific research on the feasibility of using chatbots in the educational process. The main purpose of the study was to determine the importance of chatbots in the educational process of students of higher education institutions and to consider their current involvement and prospects in the educational process of HEIs. Achieving this purpose involves a number of tasks: to provide analysis of previous studies on the use of chatbots in various fields; to find out students' awareness of chatbots and their functionality; provide information about the capabilities of chatbots for the learning process; identify prospects for the development of this tool for participants in the educational process. The authors consider the theoretical provisions of the introduction of chatbot technology in the educational process of HEIs. The practical part of the study consisted of personal data obtained during the survey, which was conducted using Google services (Google Forms). 69 respondents (mostly senior students) from HEIs in the Kharkiv region took part in the survey. The questionnaire consists of 10 open and closed questions. Based on the obtained results and previous research, the authors proposed ways to use chatbots in the educational process of HEIs and highlighted the positive aspects of using chatbots in the educational process. Prospects for the development of learning through chatbots depend on the individual capabilities of students. Because the experience of working with modern technology among students is in most cases at a high level, so we see the involvement of chatbots as a simple and fast process that does not require large funds and resources.

We investigated whether changes in the feedback stretch response were related to the proposed fast and slow processes of motor adaptation. We found that the long-latency component of the feedback stretch response was upregulated in the early stages of learning and the time course was correlated with the fast process. While some propose that the fast process reflects an explicit strategy, we argue instead that it may be a proxy for the feedback controller.
