The objective of the article is to explore the fabrication of dental restorative composite materials and the ranking order using the preference selection index (PSI) as a multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique under a set of conflict performance defining criteria (PDCs). The polymer matrix of the dental restorative composite was prepared using bisphenol a-glycidyl methacrylate (55 wt.%), triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (44 wt.%), camphorquinone (0.3 wt.%), and ethyl 4-(dimethylamino) benzoate (0.7 wt.%). Five different dental restorative composite material compositions were fabricated using hybrid nSiO2-TiO2 particulates with a variation of nSiO2 (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 wt.%) while TiO2 is constant (15 wt.%). The results revealed that an increasing trend has been found in compressive strength, flexural strength, Vickers hardness, etc., while a decreasing trend has been shown in depth of cure, polymerization shrinkage, degree of conversion etc. The performance analysis of five dental composite formulations via the PSI method shows the following ranking order: nS4 > nS6 > nS2 > nS0 > nS8. The obtained experimental results are associated with the ranking order of the different sets of dental composite formulations. Hence, the preference selection index approach is one of the best techniques among MCDM techniques for ranking under different PDCs.

The era of the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in people having to carry out activities by keeping their distance from one another in order to achieve the termination of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, this activity resulted in the government issuing a decree, especially to the education office to conduct online learning because schools and universities is one of the places that has great potential for easy transmission, online learning makes all students obliged to have a smartphone or android so that it makes it easier for students to access online learning, it is necessary to determine the best smartphone brand with the most purchase criteria, price, capacity owned by smartphone and year. output which will later become a literature review of students and parents of students to be more selective in choosing according to the wishes and needs of each user with the help of a decision support system and the application of the PSI method (Preference Selection Index). rence selection index), and the results obtained with the highest score on the xiaomi smartphone with the highest score of 0,327332, the assessment process is fairer and the decision-making process is fast.

Higher education is a place for students to study after graduating from high school/vocational high school in order to continue their higher education level, at college students study according to the majors they are interested in as a provision to find work after graduating from campus that. In choosing a college, it is necessary to choose a university that has good quality and can be recognized by a diploma from the campus. The Department of Informatics Engineering is one of the majors in the university. The selection of majors also needs to pay attention to the quality of universities and the quality of the existing majors at these universities is considered important because universities are the starting gate to create new knowledge and more knowledge for their students so that students also become someone who is competently trained in the IT field, College selection is mandatory and the number of universities offering the same major often confuses prospective students. Therefore, it is necessary to make the right selection using the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method which is one of the accurate methods in solving decision-making problems. The results showed that alternative A5 had the best value with a final value of 0.67.

Nowadays, customers are not only interested in the quality of products, but they also want to have these products in a timely manner. The managers of an organization are faced with two problems when the distribution of products is in question, namely: (1) customers are usually geographically dispersed and (2) transportation should be performed in a cost-effective way. Although managers may have a significant experience and formal knowledge, decisions connected with the selection of an appropriate transportation company may very often be biased. For the purpose of avoiding making the inadequate decisions that might harm the operation of the organization, the application of a hybrid MCDM model is proposed in this paper. The proposed model consists of three fuzzy MCDM methods, including: the PIPRECIA, the PSI, and the CoCoSo methods. The fuzzy-PIPRECIA method is used to achieve the subjective weights of criteria, whereas the fuzzy-PSI method is used to obtain the objective weights of criteria. Fuzzy-CoCoSo is utilized to rank alternative transportation companies according to their performances. The possibilities of the proposed hybrid model are tested on a real case study pointed at the selection of an appropriate company for the transportation of ready-garments to retailers in Turkey.

Bioenergy is one of the potential solutions to satisfy the extensive demand for energy and reduce fossil fuel dependency. For biomass to be an efficient source of bioenergy, it must be converted to a usable form, one of which is pellets. This study compares three commonly used methods to produce pellets in a biomass depot and presents a framework to select the most effective and economic pelleting processes. The comparison is performed using a data driven decision-making method called the Preference Index Selection Method (PSI). We considered three main pelletization technologies and compared four of their most critical attributes. The three popular biomass pellet processing methods used for this study are the conventional pelleting process (CPP), the high moisture pelleting process (HMPP), and the ammonia fiber expansion (AFEX). These processes were evaluated from both economic and environmental perspectives. We used the state of Mississippi as a testing ground for our analyses. The results obtained through the PSI method were validated with the Grey relational analysis (GRA) method. The results revealed that of the three available pelleting processes, the conventional pelleting process and the high moisture pelleting process were the most economic and environmentally friendly.

The Tehran basin has been increasingly affected by subsidence during the last few decades due to groundwater withdrawal. Hence, the study of the strength of the power towers (PTs) of transmission lines, as vital structures, is an important subject. In this paper, the persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) method was applied on data stacks from two satellites (i.e., X-band COSMO-SkyMed (CSK) and C-band Sentinel-1A (S-1A)) obtained between 2014 and 2016 to investigate the deformation and the exact amount of displacement in each PT of the area of interest. Based on the results, during the same time interval (between October 2014 and February 2016), the vertical velocities calculated using CSK and S-1A were about −86 and −79 mm/y, respectively. Although the CSK data analysis resulted in a better displacement interpretation of PTs, due to its high resolution and shorter wavelength, the S-1 data analysis also demonstrated sufficient persistent scatterer (PS) points. The research proves that most of the PTs along a transmission line are affected by high land subsidence, which puts them in a serious jeopardy. They must be constantly monitored to ensure their safety and accurate operation. The results are in complete agreement with information of the existing global positioning system (GPS) station in our study area and also the observations of two piezometric wells with declining trends in the groundwater reservoir, which has the greatest effect on the subsidence rate in this area. The analysis revealed that the strength of PTs is at a high risk.

060A4 steel (Chinese standard) is a steel with good machinability, which is very popularly used in mechanical engineering. Therefore, the study of solutions for improvement of quality and productivity when machining this steel type has great technical and economic significance. In this study, the multi-objective optimization process has been performed when milling this steel type on a vertical milling machine. The cutting tool is a face milling cutter made of High Speed Steel (HSS) material. The effect of spindle speed, feed rate, and cutting depth on surface roughness has been found. The combination of the Taguchi method and PSI method has been applied to determine the optimal value of three input parameters to simultaneously ensure the two criteria of the minimum surface roughness and the maximum Material Removal Rate (MRR). The works which will be done by the authors of this article in the near future has also been presented in the last part of this study.

In the era of globalization which is laden with competition, good service quality is a concern for companies that want to continue to exist, especially companies in the service sector such as banks in Indonesia. Institutions with low service quality will be less desirable or even abandoned by customers. Therefore, identification of service quality characteristics is needed in an effort to improve service quality. One of them is the teller who plays the most important role in customer service. Of course the selection of the best tellers must be done as well as possible. Based on these problems, the PSI method used in this study is to determine the teller by considering aspects of the determination that has been determined by the Bank. The aspects of determination which are the basis of determination by the Bank in determining the best teller are attitude, skill and appearance. By using the PSI method it is expected to be able to assist the leadership of the CIMB Niaga Bank in determining the teller process so that it is faster and more effective. Become a reference for research related to the Bank.
